Responsibilities: medical illustrators are skilled at drawing or
creating graphics for textbooks, journals, magazines, and educational films. They
also medical illustrators make artificial body parts so the surgeons have in
mind what they’re going to do to the patient.

Salary: $35,000 - $50,000
Educational
Requirements: If you’re interested in becoming a Medical Illustrator you
should take a college preparatory program while you’re in high school emphasizing
in science and in art. When you’re in college you either have to major in art
or in science or they can be switched. To get a certificate for a medical
illustrator you have to pass a national examination, portfolio review, and have
a master’s degree in medical illustration.
Reflection: I would like to become an illustrator because it
seems interesting to do. They only reason I wouldn't follow that career is
because I can’t draw, I suck at it.
