Medical Technician
Duties and responsibilities: The EMT’s usually works in a team of two. They
are responsible for giving medical attention to the people in need. They receive
phone call to tell them where the injured people are at. The job can be very
physical and stressful. Being an EMT can be hard work because your team has to
be there in seconds, a person’s life is
in your hands. You have to know the traffic route and all easy ways to get
there.
Average Salary: $25,000 - $37,500
Educational
Requirements: You must have your
high school diploma or in some areas a GED in order to become an EMT.
Driver's
education, health, and science courses are strongly recommended, you may
be enrolled to some other training so improve your skills.
You
are required to pass state licensing or certification tests and participate in
continuing education programs. You also are going to spend 100-120 hours
in the classroom and 10 hours in a Hospitals E.R.
