Emergency Medical Technician

Emergency Medical Technician
Duties and responsibilities: The EMT’s usually works in a team of two. They are responsible for giving medical attention to the people in need. They receive phone call to tell them where the injured people are at. The job can be very physical and stressful. Being an EMT can be hard work because your team has to be there in seconds, a person’s life is in your hands. You have to know the traffic route and all easy ways to get there.
Average Salary: $25,000 - $37,500
Educational Requirements:  You must have your high school diploma or in some areas a GED in order to become an EMT. Driver's education, health, and science courses are strongly recommended, you may be enrolled to some other training so improve your skills. You are required to pass state licensing or certification tests and participate in continuing education programs. You also are going to spend 100-120 hours in the classroom and 10 hours in a Hospitals E.R.

In my position I wouldn’t like to become an EMT because they have so much pressure when it comes to saving some one’s life, but at the same time I bet it feels wonderful knowing you saved a strangers life. There are so many responsibilities I wouldn’t be able to handle.
